Application:
1). As a weakly polar emollient, its exceptionally light and fast-drying texture significantly reduces the greasiness of emulsion systems while offering excellent spreadability and breathability. Suitable for creams, lotions, color cosmetics, lipsticks, and makeup remover oils.
2). Used in food packaging, fragrance fixatives, and chewing gum plasticizers. Glyceryl triacetate may hold potential applications in food coatings, lubricants, or anti-caking agents due to its low toxicity and biodegradability.
3). In coatings and inks, it serves as a solvent or flow agent to enhance film-forming properties.
4). Glycerol triacetate can be produced from bio-based feedstocks, aligning with green chemistry trends. It exhibits good biodegradability and has a low environmental impact.
