Application:
Allyl caproate is a permitted edible flavor, often used in the preparation of strawberry, apricot, peach, sweet orange, pineapple, apple and other fruit flavor and tobacco flavor. However, IFRA stipulates that the allyl alcohol content in commercial caproate allyl alcohol should not exceed 0.1%, because allyl alcohol has a stimulating effect.
