Application:
1). Insecticide: main ingredient in topical preparations for the treatment of scabies and head lice (by dissolving the exoskeleton of the parasite).
2). Drug solvents: used as carriers for topical drugs to help the active ingredient penetrate the skin.
3). Preservative: used as a preservative for certain injections or topical solutions.
4). Fragrance fixing agent: to extend the persistence of fragrance in perfumes and lotions.
5). Plasticizer: used in nail polish, hair spray to enhance film-forming properties and flexibility.
6). Fragrance ingredient: blending floral or fruity flavors.
7). Plasticizer: used in the processing of nitrocellulose and cellulose acetate.
8). Solvent: dissolve resin, dye and some polymer materials.
9). Textile auxiliaries: as dispersant or softener for dyes.
10). As reference substance for gas chromatography analysis or intermediate for organic synthesis.
