Application:
1). In fine fragrance, cyclohexyl salicylate works as a rounded middle-to-base note with solid tenacity. Typical use levels range from 1% to 10% of total fragrance oil, adjusted by desired floral depth.
2). It shines in white flower accords - jasmine, tuberose, gardenia, ylang ylang - and classic carnation, hyacinth and orchid compositions.
3). Compared to lighter amyl salicylate, it adds a richer, more substantial floral body with soft balsamic warmth, rather than sharp herbaceous edges.
4). It pairs well with citrus, woody, herbal and fruity notes, and works as an affordable extender for premium floral absolutes.
5). Typical dosage runs from 0.5% to 5% in bar soaps, shampoos, shower gels, laundry detergents and fabric softeners. For heavy fragrance loads in specialty soap products, use levels can go up to 15%.
6). It works well in both rinse-off and leave-on products, and adds a soft, rich floral background to mass-market and premium personal care lines.
Storage:
1). Store cyclohexyl salicylate in tightly sealed, upright containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse space. Maintain consistent storage temperatures between 10°C and 25°C for optimal quality retention.
2). Under proper conditions, unopened containers retain full sensory and chemical quality for 24 months. Material stored beyond this window should be retested before use in production.
